Little or young, "elders" required?
Good Morning, Do little girls, very young women just starting out require older female classmates to help/inspire them in some manner that a male cannot, or is somehow unable? Let me preface my question by saying I am not suggesting it is required, merely wondering aloud if there is anything I had n...

How do you tell the difference between say some form of really, obscenely tight muscles and so forth and say the condition called "Frozen Shoulder"?
(I take it you are involved inthe medical field in some manner ?)

Diabetic Insulin Pumps....?
Good Morning <<I train am not diabetic, my husband doesn't train and is (type I), has a pump. Thank you for responding! As a martial artist, who may or may not grapple occasionally, may or may not do rolls, breakfalls, etc... someone who spars from time to time I would assume... were he in your plac...

Re: questions
<< The Pinetrees material didn't dry the way the Disciplines do. My feet sweat a lot wearing any shoe during a workout. Understood. Bottoms of my feet sweat frequently, shoed or not. <<Comfort: I don't know what you mean be "show box". I am sorry. Shoebox in a normal shoe refers (I ...

Diabetic Insulin Pumps?
Good Morning, There are many different forms of the disease known as diabetes. :( TYPE 1 diabetes requires INJECTIONS (or an Insulin pump) to try and help maintain ones ~sugar balance~ & health, via the insulin and some other factors. Without insulin injections/a pump, bad, bad things happen... ...

BAD Martial Artist!
Good Morning. It is very hard, if not impossible to tell a bad martial artist, a bad master, a bad teacher. Unfortunately, tragically they wear no sign! Before making a commitment, whether to a person, for example in a personal relationship... or committing to a new hobby... spending ones time, ener...

Lurking...at a Dojo!
Hellp David: Respectfully MUST disagree w/one point you were suggesting to 2green! When visiting another dojo/dojang/kwan, politely I would propose to you, it is FAR better to observe a class CAREFULLY... before you just "entered" even just for the class for the evening. Seen too many, and...

A Few Good Tidbit Quotes For Discussion
Hello Rick, The ~gentleman~ sounds HORRIBLY "confused"... to put it "politely" <wg>! What the ~gentleman~ is saying, appears to be incoherent gibberish to me, to choose one word to describe it hummmngh... "INANE" would be my choice. (inane adj. Lacking sense or substanc...

Since you're such a tough guy...
Hello Dana, <I have had several conversations with dojo mates about these very topics. Amen : )!!! I have observed far too many places dojo, dojang, kwan which are large on the external surface of the concept (yelling, screaming, asinine externalism, (i.e. inane militancy) but 100% were incapable of...

Dignity & Maturity...
Hello... I was curious, what is the thinking on blatent <sp.> verbal challenges. Whether from classmates, (but folks whom you do not know very well), or from visitors, strangers to the dojo? Depending on exactly how it was done, and what you sense/feel the "intent" is...how it was worded, ...

Hello Elizabeth: Emotionally I understand your viewpoint, if someone has the same maturity, psychologically-emotionally then this gets tricky. However by nature of that age, purely because one IS that age, you cannot have the life experiences of the ~elder~ <wg> classmates. Those experiences, having...
