IUKF and the Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do Association

What is the difference between the IUKF and the Uechi-Ryu Karate-Do Association? Is it politics only or are there differences in teaching style, methods, and/or what is taught.

Re: Old Style vs New Style: looking to reacquaint with the o

Hi Josann,

Thank You for the reply. I'm going to check-out a DoJo closer to home tomorrow. However, if I do not like what I see I will certainly check-out your suggestion next.

Again, Thank You

Will

Though I hadn't seen Bob in all these years I think I had hoped to one day run into him again just to...

Re: Getting Reacquainted with Uechi-Ryu

Hi Jay, Thanks for your reply. To be honest, It was long ago. What I remember was that there was quite a contrast between Bob and Kenny: Bob was a very tall man and gregarious: Kenny was personable, younger and not so tall. Bob was married and his wife was also short, a bit plump and had a wonderful...

There where two black belts instructing us. The head instructor was a real tall man in his late twent...
