Chris, I appreciate the offer... Actually, I also have both Allen's book and video. What I'm hoping for is to make contact with Allen's family, in hope that the original documents (electronic - Word Docs or whatever was used) and video, still exist. And if they do, I'm hoping that the family would g...

Book: Uechi-ryu 2000 - Master's Edition by Allen L. Moulton

Greetings from Florida, Home of Scorced Earth Land Development, Inc. (or something like that) I heard sometime ago, with great saddness, that Allen Moulton died. (If Allen is alive, I will greatly rejoice!) I was wondering if anyone knows how to contact Allen's family? I have a question about the ma...

Re: Concerning Sensei Charles Blackmon

Rick, Your sensie and his family are in my prayers for a quick and lasting recovery. I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. God speed. Vicki, Thank you for your kind words. Many of us here, including Charlie, his daughter (actually most of his family), myself and others in our dojo, are also ...

I'd like to add one book for two reasons. One, it's small and two, it's practical for the range you'll need it...unwanted grab range. Actually, there are three MA books I would consider a must, but I think when you confine the topic to books particularly good for women, I'd have to just choose one o...

The subject line may be strange but it is also true. Some of you have probably worked out with one of my teachers, Sensei Charles Blackmon . This is an important message about Charlie. This message has been authorized by his daughter Dionne. One of my instructors, someone a great many of us love dee...

Thank you, that seems to cover most of them.... Actually it's more complete than I woud have ended up with, but it didn't seem to mention a couple things on my list... the knee strikes (as in seichin and seisan); and the toe strike (as in the seichin and seirui crane block). Perhaps the toe strikes ...

I think I have all the names for the various hand strikes/weapons, such as: the shuto for the knife hand; the seiken for the ...
