Re: Rare Uechi Ryu Book?
Hello Glenn. Bill is 1000% correct that George wrote that book. In fact George wrote a series of five books like the one you saw on Ebay. I still have that complete set of five books. I bought that series of books more then 43 years ago when I attended the Mattson Academy of Karate - Boston at 3 Han...

Re: Getting Reacquainted with Uechi-Ryu
Hi Will.
Glad that Sensei Mattson was able to provide the correct information. I was 1/2 right anyway, with one instructor being Kenny Schiff.
George - Thank you for the correct information. Sorry to hear that Bob passed away, I did not know any of that.
Take care,
Jay

Hello Willh44.
Do you happen to mean perhaps, Bob Campbell and Ken Schiff ? Both taught at Sensei George Mattson's dojo in Newton at that time period?
Take care,
Jay Sal.

Hello All: I have been following and reading all the “Hub-Bub”, concerning Arizona’s new immigration laws. I know I am not the sharpest pencil in the box or the brightest bulb on the circuit. There are so many others in these forums, so much smarter then I. I am just a blue collar working guy. Howev...

Hello. That is a very detailed and impressive list. May I respectfully add one more article to the list. That being the article written by Massad F. Ayoob, in Black Belt magazine, March issue 1974, with an interview with and on Robert J. Campbell, pages 22 – 25. Titled “A Bridge Between Two Worlds”....

Hello All. I got GM's new book the other day. I can tell you all, it is just GREAT! This is another great Uechi book by George. I was very surprised in how much material and information is packed in this book, way more then I expected. So many pictures, along with detailed explanations on all aspect...

Hi Van Sensei. On the topic of dan testing. Question - What is the most memorable dan test you ever saw? As for myself, I have watched perhaps thousands over the years. But one of the most memorable sparring matchs I ever watched (Note - I was not on the test baord), I was just an observer). Was the...
