Mental Health Ripcord

Hi Bill, et al. Please PM me if you're a licensed medical professional who can explain to me or direct me on where to look to understand how to get someone with a mild neurological disorder, so far unwilling to seek treatment, in to see someone. Person displays signs of anger, depression, anxiety, d...

Sounds good, thanks Bill. No performance promises but if I make it to camp I'm thinking about trying the fitness challenge again...

Hi Bill,

Are you going to keep the exercises in the exact order as listed above or mix up the muscle groups? I.E:

1) Push-Ups
2) Squats
3) Pull-Ups
4) Sit-Ups
5) Jump

Or is this considered the easy way out?

Isn't OC a drama series?

Guys, thanks for addressing my OC inquiry, I appreciate the real world feedback. I guess my concern was more as a person walking alone in a secluded area. Rory, correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you walked into a situation knowing you had to control someone and knowing the spray would be u...

CJG: Here is some info my company uses in SD classes: Criminal Attack Fact Sheet 2/3 of violent attacks occur in darkness or dim light. Almost 3/4 of predatory criminal attackers are under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or both. On average, a violent encounter lasts 3 seconds from the first assau...

Are there any stats on how often a criminal/assailant is in a chemically altered state? To what extent does this diminish the effectiveness of counterattacks, trying to go from relaxed after dinner to protecting your life in .5 second? Last year someone gave me pepper spray because I never bought it...

Dave! You are the first person I've been formally introduced to only after having ripped and stripped a simulation hand gun down your front side. And our relationship has been everything I've hoped for since that day. I saw mention of your forum on one of Van's threads and had to say thanks to you, ...

Very cool and very interesting, thanks Bill. Despite my recent absenteeism from the weekly classes, I've got no plans to leave the Uechi group

Have a great weekend!

Numbers Game

Gosh Bill, your complementary review of my stats is creating a persona I'm not sure I can live up to  You're a Numbers Guy, let's talk relative strength as long as you and Rich are applying military methods to this. Does the participant's weight factor into the calculation? If someone weighs l...

No Tricks

I guess it makes sense to write a little about what I've found maintains fitness. Of course everything outside the dojo pales in comparison to lessons from Van & Vinny  But... It's easy to get lured into modern day trends - diets, condensed cardio classes, circuits, toys, blah, blah, blah....

What you guys don't realize is that there is a bit of culling that goes on in martial arts classes. The only folks the size of Fedele and CJ that survive are the ones who are phenomenal. Otherwise they get bounced off the walls. The 200 pounders and above can get by for a long time getting pounded ...

Re: Pull-ups (repetitions in one minute)

Cynthia Giasetto pulled off the anomalous result for the women (12 pull-ups). I observed that performance; those were 12 honest pull-ups. Attribute that to good genes and some gymnastics training. Hey friends, finally able to walk down stairs again. Actually, just referred to as one of the 'Muscle ...

If I could stay this interested in taxes...

Paralysis sounds like a side-effect that few would be willing to live with, and kinda counter-productive, don't you think? :microwave: Kami Right on, Kami. The possibility for harvesting healthy cells in sick individuals is the glow pulling us all in and rightfully so. But... I'm concerned that thi...

Cord of major interest

I did a research paper on the application of gene therapy to different illnesses. At the time, a reliable vector for the correcting gene to the target cell was the missing link. After talking with a woman last week currently working in a Harvard lab on gene therapy/cancer studies, it sounds like it ...

So that references back to keeping the hip tucked, only in this case since you're relaxing the tuck when the edge of the bowl is low in front, you have to make sure not to release that tuck too far and arch the back. Am I making sense? Kami You're unbelievable. But I've told you that so many times ...
