Re: Uechi brothers Kansho and Kanji 4th generation soke semi

Ed sensei, thank you for providing such a venue. What a great experience and opportunity for our selves and most importantly our students. I'm excited to hear that so many organizations will be represented. I hope the training floor will be busting at the seams. We've got a strong group coming from ...

Yes round house kicks are my favorite for a reason. I have yet to be on the receiving end of Jim W. kicks and I'm hoping to keep it that way. Those that think front kicks are the end all be all need to watch a full contact tournament or a MMA fight and count all the front kicks that are thrown and l...

Wow what great posts. I take a week off the forums and I miss all the fun.

Van sensei-that picture of the round house kick landing right on the button a few pages ago is one of my favorite karate pictures.... head kicks are difficult.... excuse me... good head kicks that penetrate are difficult.

Gary Khoury gave me the DVD a few years back. His experience was very similar. Arrived at his dojo unsolicited. There was no asking of money or future orders for his students. I've watched the DVD several times. I agree with many of the points he makes. His Karate isn't too bad either.... His seizan...

Sensei, Congratulations! It was much deserved!! I think Mike Murphy summed it up best. By far one the most amazing things I think I've seen in the martial arts was Toni West spirit and perseverance demonstrated on Saturday night. What amazing spirit! And here I was complaining about my tight hamstri...

Hi Shana, I'll toss out my two cents. Google Juan Carlos Santana. He is the guy!!! I thought I knew a lot about S & C until I started watching and reading his work. He has some great DVDs. Here are some: Body Wt. training vol. 1 and 2. - A must for anyone serious/semi serious about getting fit f...

Vicki, From my experience it is really a great program. The layering method, programming and exercises all are pretty solid. It wasn't taken seriously in the fitness world more because of the amazing marketing to the general public than the workout/program itself. Keep it up! I'd love to see you at ...

Do you know what they teach about the psychological and emmotional side of self defense? It has been my experience that this is the most important part of the equation.
