I have not had a chance to return since posting this - too darn busy, and toomuch in a hurry to read replies - hoped you liked it. That Genki SUdo really looks like he is good - watched a few other videos of him grapppling etc - he knows how to front kick, leans back and gets his hip into it. Some p...

Patton would be my favorite. I like PATRIOT with Mel Gibson. MEMPHIS BELLE and THE GREAT ESCAPE since my dad was both a B-17 pilot and a POW at Stalag Luft III. SAVING PRIVATE RYAN is a must see at least once - my 15 year old son went to Europe this summer and went to Omaha Beach at Normandy, so I m...

Kick in the groin

http://youtube.com/watch?v=Njxuc3M0oTQ The above should be a link to youtube. I found a pretty good Japanese TV video about a guy named Genki Sudo, he is a K1 fighter - I watched a video of him beating Royler Gracie and some other guys. Anyway he is at the dojo of my old instructor (Rod Sacharnoski)...

Ugh, that alone is enough of a reason to admire the bravery of the men and women there....LOL. One of those would make a good thanksgiving dinner they are so big. you seriously could use them for target practice. I am not sure what I would write to your son, but I am very appreciative of the men and...

A spirited discussion ensued between appalled Latinos and previously oblivious northerners. I don't think American citizens need to learn the slang of all cultures who migrate here, and appeal to their sensitive feelings. They need to learn how the average American uses words HERE, not the other wa...

Bill - Flying J is all I have and its some distance away.

Glenn - it may a mere empty gesture devoid of real impact at this time, but at the same time placing my hand over my heart whenever the national anthem plays is also a gesture - yet I do it every time.

1) I am not impressed with the Juko Ryu groin shots. To start with, I've done the groin shots (received them) on demos quite a bit, and have taught people how to do it. If someone wants to stand nude in front of a good kicker and claim to be able to take testicular shots, well go right ahead. 2) Bu...

I think Shito ryu's founder was Kenwa Mabuni. I think there is an old joke that goes something like : if Rosemary Clooney married Kenwa Mabuni, divorced him and married Itosu Yasutsune, divorced him and married Toshiro Mafuni she would be Rosemary Clooney-Mabuni-Yasutsune-Mafuni. Okay maybe there IS...

I think SHito ryu is oen of the best places to see the overlap. If memory serves me "Shito" is formed by the use of 2 Kanji - one taken from the name of Itosu (Shorin ryu) and one from Hiagaonna (goju ryu or maybe more correctly Naha te). These were the 2 instructors of the guy who founded...
