George, I administer my own forum and work on another with over 90,000 members. If you make registrations admin approved, then the bots can't get in. It's a simple inductive charger. current through the coil in the "Qi" base creates magnetice pulses picked up by the coil in the phone and converts magnetic pulses to current that charges the battery.
