Goodbye for now

I have been debating this move for some time, but I am sadly stepping down as moderator for the Women's Forum. I have enjoyed the discussions, but my duties as a parent, wife, and a new business partner (small home business on the side) are consuming more and more of my time. I do not feel I have do...

FWIW

I struggled with whether I thought vicki would want this personal info shared; however I determined that the good intentions and need for Vicki's son (and the rest of us) to do something useful..and the likely lift this could give Vicki during her upcoming battle was worth the risk (and might motiva...

update/request from Vicki's son

Forwarding this from Vicki's son, Paul: We are all in shock about the news about Mom's pancreatic cancer. At this time it is unable to be removed and she will be undergoing several months of radiation therapy and chemo in an effort to stop the growth and more importantly, shrink the tumor so surgica...

from Vicki

She advised that they have found a blockage on her Pancreas and have been doing several surgical procedures to identify and treat it. Let's hope she's up and kicking in no time!

I think the discipline and breathing we learn in Karate has many uses. I know I've used for pain (contractions), nervousness (job interview), and anger (well..yeah). I'm not surprised that it helped you, and am excited that it helped so well! Glad you found a method to help you through!

I don't think you're far off base at all. I think the challenge is that it is very easy to think that any kind of training is going to develop the ability you're describing. Based on what you're just written, what kind(s) of training do you think would best develop that ability? It's nice to know t...

Dana, So would it be a fairly simplistic interpretation to say that Chinkunchi relates to total body involvement and connectivity? I'm understanding this as interconnected parts that feed together and also balance eachother out to allow full strength, core power, as well as reaction to sudden change...
