2004 Summerfest DVD's - Still Great Stuff

Back in 2004 I filmed Geroge Mattson's Martial Art Summerfest. We created a 5 DVD set of seminars and instructional classes from different styles. Lately, there has been a renewed interest in these dvd's. "One" (there are more) of the biggest highlights was that of the late kickboxing and ...

DVD - Realistic applications to pre-arranged fighting

I know it's not Uechi, but me and a friend of mine, Jerry Figgiani, an 8th dan in Shorin ryu, have just completed our first martial art DVD together. It's the Yakusoku kumite of Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu. The DVD demonstrates the traditional techniques then delves into different variations that can b...

Re: DON'T act your age

Thank you. Great advice (printed it out). Hopefully I will keep up with it. I can't believe how out of shape I have become. Especially when I attempt to run around taping the HS football team I film for. It kills me how in shape they are and how out of shape I am.

Re: DON'T act your age

Great topic. Especially for me because I haven't been in the gym for years and I now feel like I am paying for it as my body is constantly aching. With that said, and hopefully I will get off my butt and start lifting, what kind of workout do you recommend with weights? Should I go High weight and l...

I was watching the Sensairyu video and was wondering, isn't some portions of the form supposed to be on a 45 degree angle (ie: the 3 shokens). It appears as if Toyoma sensei was all north, eat, south, west.

Is this part of the "differences" from old style... ?

Don't feel stupid, I'm not all saavy with web accounts. Geocities may have a policy of being able to transfer web addresses. I am sure there is a way you can keep your web name.

I disagree. I am refering to the beginning of the war not as things stand now or maybe I should say 8 months ago. There is a whole division upstate NY at Fort Drum specifically designed for mountain warfare. Plus the special ops that were diverted to Iraq. As things are now, the Taliban are making s...

Just a short note on C-130's. They most surely can land in the desert and use very little room to boot. I took off on one on a dirt strip in what we called "downrange" Fort Carson Colorado and landed on a dried out lake in the Mohave desert. Besides the gunship version in the video there a...
