AAAhmed Not sure the above really holds---while its true that terrorists are a problem for many places, regions and faiths Islamic terrorists are far and away the most dangerous for everyone including fellow muslims. The threat of muslims "killing" is certainly not "exaggerated."...

If I recall correctly (and it's been awhile) they can, according to my buddy in France: -Hold you in jail up to 1 full year without anyone being told where you are or what the charges might be. -You can have lawyer present during questioning but they are ...

IJ I'm not "dismissing" his findings as much as I'm questioning them. As I mentioned its all speculation and his findings don't match up with what I know about primitive hunter gathers---or others peoples period observations about hunter-gatherers, "primitive" socities currently ...

IJ I don't know what tell you IJ---I think its a reach that you equally love multiple people---the idea that you can love multiple kids is predicated on being around them from childhood. My feelings for the friends I have had since I was a kid are stonger than the feelings I have for friends I have ...

IJ Don't know that I could consider "passionless" as also being "loving and wonderful." Something about those 2 distinctions seems contridictory at a fundamental/basic level. Presuming that to actually be the case I would agree. In terms of "opinion." "read the boo...

The question is not if "some" people are ok with being poly amorous etc. The question is weither or not such attitudes are very far reaching. The reason pair bonds are so powerful (of whatever gender/same sex etc) is the whole "forsaking all others", if you'll forgive a slight as...

mhosea Another "elephant in the room" is that of the perception of growing the influence Shiria law. 5 years ago the notion that somebody would use gay marriage legislation to demand the right to "marry" a multiple women was largely laughable . Sure people said it ....but few rat...

I think John Stossell did a whole show on frivolous lawsuits not to long ago. They highlighted a women whom made job of dropping lawsuits on people----and she promptly sued Stossell for using her as an example. The in-my-opinion vile and odious Fred Phelps........the guy whose group protests at the ...

Panther As long as the what people do does not harm others.....sure. What a person chooses to do wit their body is their business..... or should be. But I should not have to pay for medical treatment for someone elses addiction. And choosing to use drugs/alcohol should not get you a lesser sentence ...

5K was quite a bit at the time for him........and that was to make a clearly bogus case go away. He only had to pay his attorney. And his attorney was decent guy. The guy that represented the 2 idiots is no longer in business......at least not in that town. The 2 idiots had no funds or anything to t...
