Her plan was simple: she'd teach womanizer Luc a lesson by leading him on then dumping him. But the irresistible Sicilian turned the tables on Darci! Unable to resist Luc's seduction, Darci feared he'd discover she wasn't a sophisticated tease, but was an innocent--and in way over her head!
Perhaps her problem was merely a confusion of heads...

True....Sicilian women in particular
SICILIAN SISTERS: Women in La Famiglia, author Marianna, ISBN No. 0595289932, fiction novel, describes the beginning of the Mafia.

It dates back to the 15th century when five Spanish Pirates were marauded on the Aeolian Sicilian Islands. The book gravitates up to a direct descendant of the pirates and their Sicilian wives.

Nancy, the heroine, is a protagonist and secretly manipulates and runs the Mafia in the 20th century.

Exciting book to read.

From the Publisher:
No other book delves into the intricacies of the origination of the Mafia and the powerful role the Sicilian women had in controlling and continuing the pillaging on land.

They are Unique women. :)

One book that is a 'must read' to understand a very unique culture and the mystery of those women.

Why, did you want one? I am not quite sure how to receive that response.

pithy [ˈpɪθɪ]
adj pithier, pithiest
1. terse and full of meaning or substance

Give me the benefit of the doubt, oh Sensei Bill.

Vicki

PS For the audience, I just needed to ask Bill a karate question, didn't wish to hi-jack any threads, and found this was a good way to get in touch with Sensei Bill...no slurs or comments from me on said thread, FWIW.

Sicilian Sisters:Women in la Famiglia

Post by Francesca »

Have you guys read the book "Sicilian Sisters: Women in la famiglia" by Marianna. Terrific book for every man to read and know the power that some women have that pertains to most things in life. I felt good after reading that. How Sicilian women mixed lives with the pirates and the outcome was the start of the mafia way back when.[/i][/b]
