Some good whole-body exercises with the bosu ball

Here are a couple of workouts I did tonight. Great for whole body coordination.

I have done variations of this one with and without the squat.

..... Bosu ball with squat and overhead press.


This one in particular should make you a favorite with your neighbors if you do it at home. Best done at the gym and against a solid wall. I like doing it a little farther away, forcing me to really think about how to deliver the energy forward (with great precision) without rocking back and on my ass.

These exercises will help you not just with balance in martial arts, but also for other activities like surfing and snowboarding. Note how it forces you to generate arm energy with your core muscles. That's the way you want to hit someone. They should feel like they just got smacked with a piece of the floor.
