Awesome Stick Seminar

Last Sunday Steve DiOrio’s Karate School cosponsored a Kali/Escrima seminar with he Brandies University Uechi Club. Sensei Raffi Dardarian taught a mixed group of beginners, Intermediate and advanced students a basic Sambrada drill for two hours. Everyone learned a simple series of attack and defense maneuvers not unlike a Kumite. We have practiced the drill in class and everyone who attended has retained the drill, not an easy feat for folks who don’t use sticks very much.

I’m working on hosting another seminar with Sensei Raffi for the spring somewhere in greater Boston. I encourage anyone who wishes to improve their art to watch the forums for details.

Good note Steve sensei. Raffi sensei will be in Richmond the evening of 11/12 for a three hour session (7pm to 10 pm). Anyone interested post here or on the topic in the seminar thread.
