Kanbun Uechi once coached people in long staff fighting techniques used in village dances. It appears that tai chi movements look similar to sword fighting techniques. Male Hawaiian hula dancers often mimic the Hawaiian martial art of "Lua." Have any of you seen Uechi-Ryu fighting movements used in dances in Asian festivals?
