Zankyokai Website

Hello everyone,

We recently published a website for the Zankyokai Nagahama Dojo:

https://breyette.wixsite.com/zkk-nghm-dojo

It’s not an extensive site, having only a couple of photos, some basic information about who we are, what and where we teach, a short history of UechiRyu, the training schedule, and contact information. There is also a link to a YouTube video showing the interior of the dojo (I will replace that video with a newer and sharper version soon). We might include more information later; feel free to suggest helpful additions that you would like to see.

The Nagahama Dojo opened in 2000, though I have been teaching on Okinawa since 1986. When Sumako and I built our home and dojo, I closed 6 of my dojo on military installations, consolidated my student membership into the Nagahama Dojo, and continued teaching and training under Toyama Sensei’s guidance until he passed in 2009.

Since its establishment in 1998, the Zankyokai has spread to 10 countries. Several foreign training centers were established to share this style and its philosophies. Every year during July and August, we receive our member representatives from most of these countries for advanced training. Over the years we have been pleased to welcome other friendly UechiRyu practitioners, too. We are happy to guide visitors through the rather simple protocols ahead of time.

We hope you take a little time to peruse the new website. If you have any questions, please contact us using my e-mail address or the easy contact form found at the bottom of the site.

Thanks, and we hope to see you on Okinawa anytime...!

Very best regards,

Seizan
(aka Gordi Breyette)

Hi folks,

The URL for the Nagahama Dojo has changed. In October 2018 the name changed back to Zankai (from Zankyokai) and is reflected in a new URL. Here's the site:

https://breyette.wixsite.com/urzk-nghm-dojo

There are a few subtle changes in the text, but it's still mostly a small site with some historical and contact information.

Best regards,

Seizan
