Van, I'm still sucking me in some oxygen every couple/few seconds as the situation demands. I hope everything has been going good in your world.

You have always been more than generous with your time and kind with your responses. I see my British Buddy of Old, Jorvik, is still here. Makes me happy. He was right about a few things I was wrong about a few years ago, you know. :)

I'm a big fan of Marc ‘Animal’ MacYoung.
Years ago, when I first started teaching hand gun retention to police officers, I contacted him for his opinion on the subject. I consider hand gun retention to be extremely serious.
He was knd enough to respond in detail, and reinforced my own thoughts.
I paraphrase, but his advice was basic - rip their heads off offensively, while securing the damn weapon. Clean up afterward.

I always liked that man.

Don,

I am looking for a small knife, lightweight, short blade that is very safe for cutting seat belts [not too pointy] and also has a glass breaking stud at the other end…something that if you had to use in public to slice a piece of bread…would not elicit a paranoid response action in an observer.

Thank you,
Van

Van,

Just a quicky, have to go out the door and take the Wifey in for a check-up.

I have one of these. It wouldn't slice bread too well, has no point but the front portion where the point usually is, is a chisel and it's sharp as well. The butt being smashed against a car's side windows will still break them effectively.

One thing I do not have but I have watched the YouTube video on from Victorinox is this little baby!

The second major entry on this Google search page is the YouTube link, it's a great little knife and who but an absolute wanker could be offended by a Swiss Army Knife? ;)

Ain't that thing cool? Victorinox has great survival stuff. There's more to life than just ending people, after all. ;)
