Great article and very true. When I was doing armed security we learned that the bad guys did not just pick the route they wanted to hit (more cash in the truck), they didn't just pick the spot, they also picked the CREW they wanted to hit. i made a run picking up cash in a downtown major store for a long time without issue but after a month with a new crew ( and a new lax approach) they were hit.

Similarly, your car, your home and even your online presence, may exhibit Soft target Indicators to the opportunity-seeking predator. In most cases two or three solid Soft Target Indicator are enough to capture the attention of a predator.
