good judo

Post by Aaaargh »

OK, so I'm finally taking the grapplers' advice and I'm going to take up judo. Any advice on what constitutes "good judo?" I have to assume that there are plenty of bad judo schools out there.

Here's 8. But I can't tell if one is better than another.

Check out class at a few of them or if the closest seems decent go for that one.

Good luck.

So I'm a couple weeks in and having fun with it. I just learned how to do o-goshi tonight and I gotta say, that's one powerful move. I wish I'd done this a long time ago.

It's amazing how little karate helps. I'd even say it gets in the way, because my body keeps trying to move into familiar stances and that's almost always the wrong move.
