mixed age training-yes or no?
What are your thoughts on mixed age classes-children and adults? Should there be an age grouping? What are the pros/cons of having parents and children train together? What are some things to watch for, plan for, prevent?

some ad'l food for thought
from our Kombat Kids forum (nice forum, btw)
http://forums.uechi-ryu.com/viewtopic.php?t=19491
This thread discusses appropriate ages and curriculum for kids (basically some basics for ages 4-6, then regular training around 8 yrs....but mainly dependant on child’s focus, child's maturuity, and the class environment/setup)
http://forums.uechi-ryu.com/viewtopic.php?t=14314
This thread has more discussion around ages and preventing problems outside of dojo (paraticing on other kids)....
This last thread lead me to an interesting ad'l question:
Is it better to have parents participate in a fundamentally children’s classes and children in a parent’s classes...or simply have a curriculum for mixed ages?
