Was just working on this today with a couple of my training buds. The move we were working on was a knife (though a palm works too) thrown from an inside guard straight into a nerve in the chest. Since you don't get any arm swing to speak of and it's an in close move if you don't get the hip into it the technique will fail. At first two of the guys were keeping their feet grounded and I felt nothing, but after they started pivoting one foot they got some pepper into it. One other mistake one of the guys made was pivoting both feet which just turned his facing and energy to the side instead of into the target (aka me).
