*Three Treasures - Essence - body (jing), Energy (Chi), Spirit (Shen)
Having been very busy and away lately...
A slightly different spin on this, due to personal history...
When the spirit takes command, and that spirit is damaged or warped, then all that follows will be warped as well.
This is the trap, for spirit can be misled and misdirected by thought, belief and sometimes Choice.
Some choose the path that others shun. Choose to use their skills and talents to pull themselves up OVER the bodies and spirits of others.
But the rise is often brief and the fall long and hard.
Still, some succumb to the lure of riches, or power or the delusion of their own enlightenment or even divinity. And it is the last two that bring the most suffering to all.
To do that is the greatest tragedy of all.
