sorry... the above message was a little wrong.... IUKF will continue to use the Black Belt Test Guide rank standards. These standards are those currently being used on Okinawa.

The New England Region will use the tougher standards posted above.

I was just informed that the Dan test date has been moved until June 1st instead of the third Sunday in May.... I thought those dates were set in stone and only could be moved with six months notice?

are the "Tougher standards" going to be in effect for the Spring test? Are they going to be published to the IUKF members, especially the people going up for test? Has a date/location for the Spring test been decided apon yet?

I noticed in Sensei Mattson's "What's New" section he talks about working on the updated IUKF manual, including "Black belt test direction and focus". How is this going to be different than what is currently contained in the "Black Belt Test Guide"?
