Hi Glenn:
Many thanks for the forums update on Uechi articles in magazines. Hopefully you will continue visiting us here and help to revitalize the forums. I personally believe there will be slow rebuilding of this site as more and more people are leaving other social media.

Re: Restoring and Revitalizing the Uechi Forums
Hi Cecelia: As the Uechi-ryu Forums administrator, I hope many participants will jump-in to help us with the rebuilding process. One of the first things we should discuss is the name. Should we leave it as-is or modify it to reflect forum's value as an archive of important and valuable past topics a...

Restoring and Revitalizing the Uechi Forums
With the popularization of Social Media, the need for the traditional Forums have been drastically reduced. Most of the martial art forums have disappeared and the few remaining have been relegated to archives of the past. However, even though I haven't been frequenting the forums very much, I do dr...

Interesting clips by Kanei Uechi grandchild. The link you posted comes from an application in the Konshin kata. The video shows a block and grab technique. It is, in my estimation correct.

Re: Uechi-ryu Principles of Conduct!
We are busy re-building the old Forums and since many of you are stopping in, here at the "beginning", I wish to welcome you again. . . or perhaps for the first time to our all-new structure. Probably one of the most important feature of the Forums is the fact that I've not deleted any of ...

Re: Hello! I´m HEBER, from Brazil! Greetings!
Welcome to the Forums Heber and thank you for the question. You mention having some "doubts" about a wrist block and there are many blocks where the wrists are involved in the action. Of course, if a technique is not performed correctly is also a possible reason for it not working. I sugge...

WinterFest 2022
This is my first new post on the old Uechi Forums in years. Social Media redirected many of us from the coming here to discuss topics and explore other topics of interest penned by others. I don't know about you, but I am more than tired of Facebook and other popular programs of conversation and dec...

Re: Is this still a forum?
Bullcrap. . . Just that you guys are getting too old to fight with Glasheen. I see him on F.B., where I see him going head to head with younger and tougher opponents, all the while, projecting to millions of his fans, how smart he is. According to the pundits, you guys just weren't in his league! Of...

Re: Dynamic Tension in Sanchin
A difficult subject to explain and therefore was a major problem transmitting the information from teacher to student. I teach what Tomoyose drilled into me. Pull the shoulders down, using your lats. Hence the tapping of lats during sanchin "check". It is much easier to simply tighten ever...
