Jeremy,
I've heard good things about Suse Linux too.
Do they have a website with a Hardware Compat. List?

Thoughts on the animals
Just wondering if anyone caught the Animal Planet Special called "Kung Fu: The animal within"?
It was a nice overview of the various styles and how they came to be.

Tony, I'm using uncensored news as a back up. They have 7 servers through out the US. The closest one to us is in Texas or Va. I find the others don't have as acomplete a feed as the Cali servers. Cost is resaonable @ $9.95 a month ONLY catch is a 250meg a day d/l limit. They do have a great retenti...

Tony,
I'm hoping to have a test machine sometime mid-March. I downloaded the .iso's from a redhat mirror and burnt them to cd. 3 cd's total so about 2gig in data transfer took about 2 hours with burn time included. Gotta Love RoadRunner

Been thinking about doing a Redhat system as that is Dell's prefered linux style OS. Last time I installed Redhat it was a snap, almost the same GUI based setup as Windows 9x. Great support for a 2 year old machine at the time. Now Redhat is a fairly popular OS, they bundle a great package for the $...

George,
Do you know someone that has a Windows `95 cd you can borrow? Sometimes it will ask for the cd as proof of Win 9x ownership.

George, I 2nd what Allen said. It's one of the only OS's M$ has done right, built in drivers for most anything on the market, able to handle the new breed of MONSTER hard drives. Windows 2k Pro is a "Heavy Duty" OS it's built for work! I currently have a Video/Graphics machine loaded with ...

Allen, Sadly some vendors see fit to "encode" their recovery cd so that it only works on their computers. I know HP does this. I've no idea what it looks for but it's mother board specific only. It's a "big brother" thing :O Yes there is a fan on the Video Card. But after running...

Allen, You haven't read some of the horror stories about watercooling? They are great! Hee heee hee Lets just say that what most of those brave souls are doing isn't worth the risk. I mean Overclocking a 700 to 850 isn't that big a jump, but these guys will spend $100+ on fishtank pumps, plastic tub...
