Do you think it is essential to do Sanchin with the jars (or other weighted objects) in order to develope the musculature to properly do the Sanchin kata?

Training regimens for novices
Does anyone have any suggestions for a training regimen for someone that is new to the martial arts?
I have only 30 minutes a day to work out and I want to use that little time as effectively as possible.
I would be grateful for any assistance given.
