This is old. It was great when I first saw it and still wonderful.
Mess with my leathers and being duct taped to a tree would be the least of their worries. I pretty much live and let live attitude but some things are sacred. My Harley and my leathers are two.

Re: Pedroia showing natural (flinch response) use of Seisan
Glasheen Sensei I said growing at a batter is part of the game. Yes it's wrong but its done. And yes throwing to the areas that you started is the "right way" to do it. I don't agree with headhunting but it happens and is more common than it should be. (It shouldn't be tolerated at all) Or...

Re: Wing Chun that doesn't look bad.
Hi Hokie, Feuds in martial arts are well known, especially these days, and especially in arts like Wing Chun for various reasons. So he's not exposing anything that hasn't already been going on for decades. I'm not senior enough to feel I have a right to publicly question anyone other than for info...

Re: Wing Chun that doesn't look bad.
But is what he trying to say so bad? What I hear him saying is that everyone needs to make their Wing Chun (and by extension martial art) their own. To me that doesn't sound bad. Now, I'm not sure about the video as I know nothing about him, or the Wing Chun community and how they're received it. I...

Re: Pedroia showing natural (flinch response) use of Seisan
See if you can guess the posture. If you're wondering why Ortiz got so emotionally hijacked, look very carefully at the pitch pattern. They had no intention of giving a strike. In fact none of the six pitches were strikes. But just before the video clip where you see Papi backing out of the batters...

Thanks I enjoyed watching this, thinking about it and seeing how "Uechi 101" relates to it!

Hello from Southwest Virginia (Roanoke, Blacksburg, and Cbur
I guess this is a reintroduction as my name is Tom Faigle and I had to reregister as I forgot my old password and have since changed e-mails. Anyway, I moved from Fairfax VA to Blacksburg to work on my PhD and didn't spend much time online for obvious reasons. I currently train with Doug Bleecker in...

Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Christiansburg & Radford
I hope it's ok to let everyone know that since the Virginia Tech Uechi club doesn't appear to be active that anyone wishing to train can contact me. I'm offering small classes in my home dojo in Christiansburg (the next town over from Blacksburg) for anyone who is interested. Feel free to contact me...
