Basically I am on a survival footing ,with the idea of teaching a few ,but I have not suffered in the same manner as the big groups ,with instructors having to shut dojo after dojo in this changing fortune for karate . I offer Kanbun like training for a very tiny market ,which as a natural drop out ...

Bert, We are on the same page ,if there are differences ,its approach . How you approach uechi-ryu is; via the dan/ kyu system ,I do not ,but so what its all uechi-ryu .In my approach you start the kicks when you take on board seisan ,that's were the first introduction to a kick is or would be taugh...

A gradual knock on effect from this approach is; to retain as close possible connections with my subject of study [sanchin] this ...

We know you can warm up on most things ,personally I think to achieve getting into good condition is a goal and retaining things,so if needed you can perform at the drop of a hat . So to perform a kick you would not really have to go through a warm up session ,if you can't then serious steps need to...

Bert. I don't know if I can offer anything, for 35years or so I never have used a separate warm up period ,quite simply I have always warmed up with Sanchin and give or take cooled down with Sanchin ,in a nutshell that's a old original way of warm up ,now don't think in a three full kata Sanchin for...
