I haven't read the link yet, but I brought my W2000P monster to work to quell an emergency this week, and found some network related problems with Windows.

I just read it and wondered if that was why their number one man quit...
Here's a quote from the page you directed me to, Chuck: "Allchin said Microsoft spent 500 person-years and $162 million on people and tools specifically to improve reliability of the product..."
Chuck, I am under the contention that either you or I could write "Windows" in less than ten man-years, and for substantially less than $162 million.
Oh, I found some more bugs in their File Manager.
Overall, I'm happy with it, but Service Pack 1 -- Here we go again...

Allen,
I wonder what the cost of "Unix" is?
45+years in development constantly getting better and still free. Why can't windows manage the same thing?
LOL

It all started with the guys from Digital Research being out playing golf when IBM payed them a visit for their operating system.
Then, the people at AT+T never made UNIX user-friendly enough for the folks at home to use and never took DOS seriously; two major tactical errors.
