Hello Everyone,
Years ago I was in a used-book shop in Yomitan and found a set of 12 manuals, each depicting a different animal style. Each book recorded the techniques and kata for separate and complete systems: tiger, dragon, crane, leopard, chicken, snake, horse, bear, etc.
These are teacher's manuals, and the author is Otuka Tadahiko.
This set was published in 1975 (before the UechiRyu Kyohon).
In book 3, there is a Sanchin-like kata that looks very similar to UechiRyu, with a few technical differences. One major difference is striking off the front foot with open hand, clenching into a fist to draw it back again to Sanchin position, then reopening the fist. The Kata is named "Rokukite", and the philosophy for the kata is very similar to our Sanchin too, in stating "all the techniques for the system are found in Rokukite".
Has anyone heard of this kata, the teacher, or the system he taught? I can't find his name or any reference to him on the Internet.
I believe the books were published in Osaka; I'll have to look again. If it is Osaka, I wonder if this could be derived from a UechiRyu training lineage...?
Further information later this week, when I dig them out of storage (I believe I still have them).

If they added references to solid resources, the Reddit posts will be more believable. It goes to show the importance of peer reviews.
