I bow my head in shame for my overtly left wing idealism toward this subject.

This thread sure showed me!

Damn, maybe i really should listen to my dad more.

There's no shame, Adam. You have a good heart. Don't lose it to cynicism.

There's an old saying... Any young person who isn't a communist has no heart. Any older person who still is a communist has no mind. 8)

BE HONEST: If you had to hire someone who walked into your store/business, and asked for a job who was obviously homeless, would you hire them?
When I had just gotten out of the Military, (Many, Many moons ago)
I was, in fact, "homeless" for a time.
You'd never know it of course, so the question you are asking has a facet to it that perhaps you didn't intend.

In any event, being "Homeless" at the time, this of course did not stop me from seeking work.
I was hired "on the spot" for a Knife shop in the local mall, simply by walking in, asking for a job (not an application.)
Of course, nowadays this tactic may not work as well.

That would be MMA.

One thing the UFC has been paying for is losing good fighters to PRIDE due to more pay.

Besides, Bullshido has an entiree article on how even pro-MMA fighters are paid bad.

Historically speaking fighters can't hold onto a buck or sign bad contracts anyway.

If they take after boxers anyway.

Look at Leon Spinks who's a janitor at a YMCA with no cash.
Or Mike Tyson of course.

My friend had an ex Montreal Canadian player roof his house around 1985 or so. He wasn't doing so great.
